6 Christmas Fellowship Ideas for International Congregations
By Jodi Fondell and Doug Fondell
Congregation-to-congregation resourcing from the Association of International Churches in Europe and the Middle East
Build A Reindeer Rack
Give each team a pair of panty hose and a package of balloons. Within a designated time limit, teams must blow up and tie the balloons, stuff them inside the panty hose, filling each leg. When their “rack” is complete, designate one person to become the reindeer and put the construction on their head. For added a flair, a red nose can also be applied and ribbons tied to the bottom of the feet.
This is a mess so makes sure you are prepared for such! Each team designates a Santa and are given a can of shaving or whipped cream. They then proceed to create the best beard they can within a designated time period.

Hand out this list of Christmas carols. Teams must try to figure out the more well-known title. Can you?

Each group gets the same objects in a bag: Wrapping paper, ribbon, tinsel, ornaments, scissors, and tape (Ikea is a great place to get this stuff cheaply). One person is designated to be the tree. The rest decorate. Judge the best looking tree.
'Twas THE Night Before Christmas Gift Exchange
If you are doing a gift exchange, white elephant or otherwise, seat each person in a circle. Have someone read 'Twas THE Night Before Christmas and each time 'THE' is read, the gifts move hands. It gets pretty funny, especially if the reader is a bit animated.
The 12 Days of Christmas: Re-Visited
Each group is given one or two verses (depending on how many groups you have) of the classic carol and they have to come up with a new designation that relates to your city or church or group. The new idea should relate in rhythm to the original. Once people have written their verse, you sing it together, starting with the first day and winding it up to the 12 days of Christmas. Each group should stand when it's their turn to sing.
